One of Israel's most prominent media personalities, Ilanit Levi, who often shares details of her lifestyle on social media, told her Instagram followers on Wednesday about her experience visiting an osteopath to treat a herniated disc.

In a series of stories, she revealed information that surprised her, having believed for years that she should avoid strength training: "I want to tell you that a few minutes passed and he realized that I was 'done'. Completely 'done'," Levi said. According to her, for years she had received instructions from orthopedic doctors to avoid strength training and stick only to Pilates due to her back issues.

However, during the treatment, she was introduced to a completely different approach:

"Strength training is actually the thing. Strength training done correctly, in a proper and controlled manner, is what causes our muscles to heal. More strength, less pain. I'm in shock. This is a discovery for me. All the people I went to until today told me not to dare to use weights."

Levi continued, sharing her enthusiasm for the new insight: "Did you understand? Do you realize that until today I thought I wasn't allowed to do strength training?! Now I am doing strength training. Remember this, it's a discovery that I'm in shock about."

Later, she also mentioned another issue she suffers from and recommended that her followers share all their symptoms with their therapist:

"Something else I want to tell you. When you go to an osteopath, say everything, about all the things you suffer from. For example, I have a lot of mess in my stomach. He used some pressure points on me, and you feel it immediately. I feel that my sides are more balanced and something in my stomach is calmer. So say everything, don't be shy."
