Worked on TAMA project and sexually assaulted a young woman in Jaffa: indictment against illegal resident from Nablus
Bilal Saka worked as an electrician on a project in the city. Two weeks ago, he entered the young woman's room and began sexually assaulting her until she woke up and screamed. The Prosecution: "His audacity is indescribable."
An indictment was filed today, Thursday, at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against 32-year-old Bilal Saka, an illegal resident from Nablus. He is accused of entering an apartment in a residential building where he worked as an electrician and committing an indecent act against a young woman while she was sleeping. In addition, he is charged with illegal entry into Israel.
According to the indictment, filed by Adv. Tzofia Taitz from the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office, Saka entered Israel illegally twice and worked as an electrician in a building in Jaffa, where a TAMA project is underway.
About two weeks ago, while working in the building, Saka arrived at the young woman's home and entered her bedroom under the pretext of checking electrical outlets. While she was sleeping, he committed an indecent act against her. The young woman woke up from his actions and began to scream.
The indictment charges Saka with offenses of an indecent act by exploiting a state that prevents consent, as well as illegal entry into Israel.
The Prosecution is requesting to hold Saka in custody until the end of the legal proceedings. In the detention request, the Prosecution noted that the circumstances of the offense indicate that nothing would stop Saka from carrying out his intentions:
"His actions were carried out in broad daylight, while he was aware that the complainant's family members were in the apartment's living room, a few meters from the room where he committed the offense. There is no end to Saka's audacity, who even spoke with the family members before entering the room, and had the nerve to deny his actions to them when she woke up, seized with terror."
