IDF and Shin Bet Target Hamas Infrastructure in Gaza
Over the weekend, the IDF and Shin Bet conducted intensive operations across the Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas infrastructure and neutralizing multiple operatives. The joint military actions focused on degrading militant capabilities and destroying weapon caches.
Elimination of Nukhba Operatives and PIJ Commanders
During a morning strike in Gaza City, the IDF targeted a gathering of Nukhba terrorists, eliminating several armed operatives. Among those killed were Moaz Mazen Hamza Hassouna and Muhammad Riad Khader Arhim, both members of the Hamas military wing.
In a separate strike earlier in the day within the Daraj Tuffah area of northern the Gaza Strip, the military eliminated Muhammad Walid Saadi Nakhala, a commander in the anti-tank missile array of Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Destruction of Weapon Caches
According to the IDF, the targeted operatives advanced terror plots against military forces and civilians while attempting to rebuild militant capabilities in violation of ongoing cease-fire understandings.
Throughout the weekend, security forces destroyed four underground and tactical weapon warehouses belonging to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The facilities contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, explosive charges, mortars, and assault rifles.
The military stated that prior to executing the airstrikes, precautionary steps were taken to mitigate civilian casualties, including aerial surveillance and the use of precision-guided munitions alongside advance warnings issued to the local population.
