Amid ongoing security tensions, the IDF and security forces are securing the olive harvest across Judea and Samaria, recognized as one of the most volatile periods in the region. According to IDF Central Command data, Palestinians have successfully harvested approximately 220,000 dunams of olive groves so far, backed by roughly 100 coordinated harvesting operations under military protection.

The total agricultural yield gathered to date is estimated at 22,500 tons of olives, which have yielded approximately 5,500 liters of olive oil. The military stressed that despite international criticism surrounding this year's harvest, media-focused friction points account for only a tiny fraction of the overall harvesting areas in the territory.

To ensure the harvest proceeds safely and to prevent friction, violence, and terror, the Central Command has reinforced the region with additional units, including the 98th Division headquarters, a dedicated paratrooper brigade headquarters, a regular infantry battalion, and Border Police companies.

"All forces are deployed across the sector to provide optimal defense, counter terrorism, and prevent friction," the IDF stated. "Security forces view violence, crime, and attempts to destabilize the area from any side with utmost severity, working in cooperation to protect the region and enforce law and order."
