The Israel Defense Forces continue their brigade-level operation, codenamed "Roaring Judah", in Hebron following a deadly shooting attack that claimed the lives of two Israeli soldiers. Operations are currently concentrated in the neighborhood belonging to the al-Jabari clan, identified by security agencies as a Hamas-affiliated family numbering around 2,000 members.

According to military sources, more than 1,000 residents were screened and permitted to leave the neighborhood before security forces entered, while an estimated 700 to 800 individuals remain inside. The operation was launched in response to a Friday morning attack where two Hamas gunmen opened fire on an IDF force from the Rescue Brigade's Aryeh Battalion, killing Staff Sergeant Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sergeant Yuval Shay Soylem.

The military campaign focuses on three main objectives: demolishing 18 illegal structures in the area, conducting operations against Hamas infrastructure in Hebron, and carrying out targeted sweeps within the al-Jabari clan's residential sector. While the demolition of illegal structures and general counter-terrorism sweeps in the city have largely concluded, troops are currently conducting house-to-house searches.

Shin Bet interrogators are questioning suspects on-site, with approximately 14 individuals arrested so far for suspected involvement in terror activities and incitement. Security officials have not yet determined whether the attack stemmed from a local cell or external direction by Hamas networks in Turkey or the Iranian-led Shiite axis.
