IDF and Shin Bet Foil Imminent Terror Attack Along Route 60
Israeli forces arrested a terror suspect on Sunday who was allegedly planning an imminent attack along Route 60 in the Binyamin region, following precise intelligence.

Israeli security forces arrested a suspect on Sunday who was allegedly planning an imminent terrorist attack along Route 60, a major highway in the Binyamin Regional Brigade sector.
According to a joint statement by the IDF and Shin Bet, the arrest followed precise intelligence provided by the security agency, which directed troops to the suspect's location.
Security officials noted that the individual intended to carry out the attack in the immediate future. He was detained and transferred to security forces for further interrogation.
Binyamin Regional Council and Yesha Council head Yisrael Gantz praised the interception, stating that accurate intelligence and swift action by troops prevented a potential loss of life. He emphasized that recent attacks in Judea and Samaria require expanded offensive operations against terror infrastructure across the entire region, extending beyond current operations in Hebron.
The arrest comes just two days after a fatal shooting attack at the Yehuda Junction in the southern Hebron Hills, which claimed the lives of IDF soldiers and left others wounded. Following that incident, the military, Shin Bet, and Border Police launched a sweeping operation in the Hebron area, searching hundreds of sites and arresting multiple suspects as part of heightened security measures ahead of upcoming elections.
