The Israel Defense Forces have expressed deep disappointment over the inaction of the Lebanese government and the Lebanese Armed Forces, noting that Beirut continues to allow Iranian operations and has failed to expel the Iranian ambassador.

Border Security and Hezbollah Activities

Israel is closely monitoring Hezbollah's movements beyond the maximum yellow line in the Beqaa Valley, Beirut, and the coastal sector. Although the scope of rehabilitation remains limited, the military has identified attempts by Hezbollah to restore its military capabilities. Earlier today, it was reported that a massive shipment of explosives intended for the Dahiyeh southern suburb of Beirut was intercepted at the Dahr al-Bidar checkpoint.

"They are not fulfilling the commitments they took upon themselves. In Beirut, the Iranians continue to operate, and the Lebanese government's decision to expel the ambassador has not been implemented," a military official stated.

Strategic Blows and Failures

The capture of the Ali Taher ridge by the IDF and the destruction of tunnel infrastructure dealt a severe blow to Hezbollah, severely degrading its combat and reconnaissance capabilities. Furthermore, approximately one million displaced Shiite residents have become internal refugees due to the conflict, intensifying public criticism against the organization from within Lebanese society.

Pilot Zones and Iranian Influence

Under an agreement brokered by Israel, Lebanon, and the United States, the Lebanese Armed Forces were assigned three pilot zones in southern Lebanon—Aitaroun, Srifa, and Zawtar el-Gharbiyeh—to prevent Hezbollah's presence and dismantle terrorist infrastructure. However, the military reports that the Lebanese army is failing to operate effectively, while Hezbollah operatives return under the guise of humanitarian aid to rebuild underground networks.
