IDF: Terrorist Uses Child as Human Shield to Transfer Weapons in Gaza

IDF forces operating in the Gaza Strip identified a terrorist using a child to transfer weapons into a civilian home in the central camps area, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit reported on Sunday.

According to the military, the terrorist exploited the child to move the weaponry in order to prevent IDF forces from targeting and thwarting the transfer. The IDF defined the incident as the use of a child as a human shield.

The military stated that the footage serves as another example of terrorist organizations in the Strip exploiting children for terrorist purposes. According to the army, this is done in violation of international law and to advance terrorist plots against IDF forces operating in the area and against Israeli citizens.

IDF forces under the Southern Command are deployed in the area, and the military stated they will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.
