The Wall Street Journal reports that the Houthis have demanded 51 billion dollars from Saudi Arabia alongside official recognition of their rule in Yemen as a condition to halt attacks.

According to the report, Riyadh previously reached out to the movement to ascertain their terms for ending the hostilities. The Houthis stated that the requested sum is necessary to cover costs resulting from years of Saudi-led military actions.

In a separate development, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that two oil tankers and a tugboat caught fire following separate incidents while attempting to navigate unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, following the mid-term election defeat of United States President Donald Trump, demonstrators in Tehran burned a banner featuring effigies of Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, and Vice President JD Vance.
