Harel celebrated its achievement in the Globes brand index during an investor call

Alongside a net profit of approximately 1.02 billion shekels in the second quarter, Harel CEO Nir Cohen chose to conclude the investor call with a different achievement. Cohen took pride in the fact that Harel is the only insurance and finance company to have entered the Globes brand index. "It is not just a matter of recognition, but to what extent the customer trusts and values the brand - this is a business lever moving forward."

Harel CEO Nir Cohen dedicated the final minutes of the group's investor call on Wednesday to an achievement of a different kind. After reviewing the second quarter results, he chose to conclude with the Globes brand index, in which Harel was the only company among insurance, banking, and finance firms to enter the list of the 100 leading brands in Israel.

"What I wanted to conclude with is some survey published in Globes, I believe you are familiar with it, the brand index. At the end of the day, we know that the population in Israel is growing, we know that the demand for products is growing accordingly, and the question is really where the customers end up choosing to buy the products."

According to Cohen, the significance for him is not just the level of brand recognition, but specifically the way the question was phrased in the index:

"We always know from internal surveys that Harel is the most significant, most recognized, strongest brand in our world. But here, what they did in Globes, they didn't ask 'which brand do you know best', but 'to what extent do you trust and value the brand'. So of course Harel is not Google and not Bamba, but among all the companies - finance, insurance, banks - we are the only ones who entered the 100 brands."

Cohen also sought to connect the ranking to the group's business potential:

"Beyond the fact that you are a recognized brand, it connects to this question of trust. We are a company that customers rated at the highest level in terms of trusting and valuing the brand. Understand what kind of lever this is, provided that we work efficiently and know how to provide the service. I hope that as time goes by, you will also see this in the bottom line."

The remarks came at the end of an especially strong quarter for Harel. The group reported a total profit of approximately 1.02 billion shekels in the second quarter of 2026 and a return on equity of 37%.
