Hapoel Tel Aviv Claims Dramatic 1-0 Win Over Beersheba to Reach Summit
Roi Alkokin scored in the 91st minute to give Hapoel Tel Aviv a dramatic 1-0 win over Hapoel Beersheba, sending the Reds to the top of the Premier League table.

Hapoel Tel Aviv claimed a dramatic 1-0 victory over Hapoel Beersheba at Turner Stadium on Sunday, courtesy of a 91st-minute strike by Roi Alkokin.
The breakthrough came deep into stoppage time when Daniel Dapaah picked out Alkokin, who calmly beat goalkeeper Ofir Marciano to secure the crucial three points. The late winner sent Hapoel Tel Aviv to the top of the Premier League standings heading into the international break, sitting on 25 points—one ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv and three clear of Beersheba. It marks the first time since December 2012 that the Reds have finished a matchday at the summit at an advanced stage of the season.
Missed Opportunities
For much of the match, both sides squandered golden chances. Beersheba's Amir Hadad missed an open rebound from six yards out in the 72nd minute, while Hapoel Tel Aviv's Amit Lemkin failed to convert a close-range cross just minutes before the dramatic winner.
Under the guidance of Eliniv Barda, Hapoel Tel Aviv enters the break on a seven-match winning streak across all competitions, firmly establishing themselves as serious title contenders.
