Hamas Explosive Targets IDF Engineering Vehicle Near Gaza Yellow Line

A Hamas explosive device was detonated remotely this evening (Monday) targeting an IDF engineering vehicle in the Yellow Line area of the Gaza Strip, causing damage but no injuries.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, the incident constitutes a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. In response, the IDF struck terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip used to advance plots against Israeli civilians and troops. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate against immediate threats.

Over the past two weeks, two separate incidents occurred where infiltrators crossed the Yellow Line and approached IDF military posts. In one documented case, a suspect advanced hundreds of meters toward forces undetected, moving between military vehicles until reaching a guard post. A soldier on duty noticed suspicious movement, identified the intruder peering toward him, and opened fire. The suspect managed to return to the Strip, as did an unarmed intruder in a similar recent event.

A security official in the Gaza envelope criticized the situation, stating that allowing movement near the Yellow Line inevitably leads to close contact with troops, warning of a heavy price if the current conditions persist.
