Man to Be Indicted for Stabbing Partner at Hadera Bus Station
A 20-year-old Jatt resident will be indicted for stabbing his 18-year-old partner at the Hadera Central Bus Station after she refused to marry him.
A 20-year-old resident of Jatt is set to be indicted for stabbing his 18-year-old partner, a resident of Jisr az-Zarqa, inflicting light injuries to her hand at the Hadera Central Bus Station.
According to police, the September 14 incident occurred because the victim refused to get engaged to the suspect. Security cameras captured him fleeing the scene immediately after the assault. He was swiftly apprehended by Hadera police officers and taken in for questioning.
"I decided to break up with him," the young woman told Ynet, explaining they had been in a six-month relationship "according to customs and tradition." She added, "He started threatening me, saying 'I will dig your grave and kill you.' I didn't think he would actually try to hurt me. He stabbed me three times in the hand. I am still in shock. I saw death right before my eyes. It is something I will never forget."
Police stated that the suspect's detention was repeatedly extended. Following the completion of the investigation and the consolidation of evidentiary groundwork, a prosecutor's statement was filed against him via the Coast District prosecution unit ahead of a formal indictment and a request to hold him until the end of proceedings.
