Master Chef Star Gal Kaspers Opens Up About Severe Online Harassment
Israeli reality TV star Gal Kaspers shared her struggles with severe cyberbullying, death threats, and her decision to step back from social media ahead of the Master Chef final.
Reality television star Gal Kaspers is facing her final opportunity to secure a spot in the grand finale of the culinary show Master Chef. Ahead of the crucial broadcast, she opened up to her followers in an Instagram Q&A session, explaining her decision to distance herself from social media in recent years.
Responding to a supportive follower, Kaspers expressed her gratitude:
"I want to say thank you for such a comment, because it is not something to be taken for granted. I vanished for a bit because, after a period in the spotlight where people did not really like me, I wanted to stop taking the heat."
She admitted that the intense negativity was difficult to contain and process. Although she still encounters hostile comments, Kaspers noted she has learned to embrace the feedback, both positive and negative, using it as a learning experience.
In a previous interview with mako magazine, Kaspers—who also participated in the 2023 season of Big Brother—detailed the emotional scars left by public hostility. She revealed receiving extreme online abuse, including death threats directed at her family. The harassment escalated to the point where she filed an official complaint with the Israel Police against a persistent stalker, which successfully halted the threats. Despite the anxiety caused by the ordeal, Kaspers emphasized that the support of her children remained her ultimate source of strength.
