Gal Tamam, one of Israel's most promising TikTok and social media stars with hundreds of thousands of followers, is making a major career leap. Freshly discharged from Tsahal, she is joining the new season of the reality show "Survivor" on Channel 13.

Stepping off the Screen and onto the Island

At the festive season launch event, Tamam shared her excitement with the press. "I still can't process that we are at the launch. It felt so far away like a dream, and now it is finally happening," she said. For a content creator who lives in front of the camera 24/7, detaching from smartphones and makeup was a unique challenge. "I was sure it would be hard for me without makeup, but when there is no mirror, you simply let go of how you look," she smiled.

Faith and Resilience in the Wild

Aside from physical hardships, Tamam pointed to her faith as her central anchor on the island. "We had a prayer book on the island, and we could pray. Those were the moments that kept me sane. I never felt alone because I always spoke to God and asked for help," she noted. When asked what she would do with the one million shekels grand prize, she stated her priority is to buy a Torah scroll promised to her grandparents, followed by investing in real estate.

This high-budget season arrives amid a leadership shakeup at Reshet 13, following its acquisition by Wiz co-founder and tech entrepreneur Assaf Rappaport. With a massive 27 million shekel budget, "Survivor" serves as the ultimate content test for the channel's new era under the tech billionaire's ownership.
