Gafni again refuses to commit to Netanyahu: "I no longer know which party he is in"
The chairman of United Torah Judaism toured Rehovot and refused to commit to a partnership with the Prime Minister, stating he does not know which party Netanyahu belongs to. Gafni took a jab at Shas, attacked the Supreme Court regarding the kindergarten teachers' budget, and clarified that he does not trust any actor in the political system.
Ahead of the elections, the chairman of United Torah Judaism, MK Moshe Gafni, toured educational institutions in Rehovot on Tuesday. During the tour, he made a series of controversial statements, including regarding the actions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He clarified that, unlike in the past, he is not currently willing to say that Degel HaTorah will join him in the next term, and also hinted at the new line that Shas is attempting to lead with its video regarding soldiers.
Later, Gafni was asked if there is a political alternative for him, in light of the positions held by Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz, Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman, and Naftali Bennett on the issue of conscription. Gafni replied:
"After we did not believe Netanyahu, I suggest not believing others either."
