Exclusive: Footage from the preparations for the wedding of Omer and Sasha Adam at a monastery in Portofino
The famous couple did indeed get married secretly yesterday, but the main celebration is just beginning. While the guests have already landed at the coveted destination, the mako celebs correspondent in Portofino exclusively documented a glimpse of what is happening at the historic monastery in Italy. This is what the frantic preparations, the giant stage, the luxurious chuppah — and the singer's vocal warm-up look like.
The Italian wedding festival continues at full force. Preparations for the main event to be held on Wednesday at the Cervara Abbey — the wedding of Omer Adam and his wife Sasha Adam — are at their peak ahead of the big celebration. The mako celebs correspondent arrived on Tuesday evening at the Italian Riviera overlooking the Portofino bay, where the monastery has been located since the 14th century, and documented what is happening behind the scenes of the couple's much-discussed event, who revealed earlier that they were married according to religious law in an intimate chuppah.
A luxurious chuppah was set up at the site — alongside manicured vegetation, sprawling lawns, and a perfect Italian view, as well as a dance floor stage, for which the guests had already been practicing on the plane to the coveted destination. Also documented at the site was the Haredi singer Motti Steinmetz, who is expected to take part in the ceremony, which according to reports will be held with gender separation, as he stipulated before his arrival in Italy. Another distinguished guest documented was Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, the Rabbi of the Western Wall.
Earlier today, the happy couple's guests began arriving in Portofino on an organized flight, which included, among others, Aviv Geffen and his wife Sharon Kaufman, Eran and Shay Zahavi, as well as businessman Harel Wizel. The guests on the plane, which offered an open bar of alcohol, a DJ, and gifts, were treated to a surprising recording on the plane by Yaniv Adam, Omer's father, who launched into a monologue about the expenses for the event and declared:
"If it were up to me, I wouldn't have ordered you a plane and I wouldn't have ordered you accommodation, and in general, in general, in general, I wouldn't have invited you. But unfortunately there is no choice, and Omer and Sasha are getting married."
Later in the recording he added:
"I remind you that we are marrying into an aristocratic European family. They do not know your character, so behave accordingly."
Even before the celebrations on the plane, those who landed at the destination separately were Lior Narkis, the 'Ma Kashur' trio — Shalom Michaelshvili, Asi Israelof, and Zion Baruch (who arrived with his wife Yana Yosef), as well as Sasha's glam team which includes makeup artist Miriam Shai and hair stylist Idan Bakshi.
