The trading and investment platform eToro has signed an agreement to acquire LB Finanzas, an Argentine application combining a variety of financial services. This move strengthens the company's presence in the growing fintech market. Management stated that the acquisition "highlights its commitment to establishing local operations in Latin America, with Argentina serving as its regional hub."

LB Finanzas has recorded significant growth in user numbers and trading volume, reflecting the growing demand among retail investors in Argentina for accessible investment products centralized on a single platform. The company offers an integrated platform for investing in stocks, ETFs, crypto, and money market funds, alongside payment solutions and accounts in both Argentine pesos and US dollars.

Yoni Assia, co-founder and CEO of eToro, stated: "LB Finanzas and eToro share the same vision: everyone should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to grow their wealth. Combining LB Finanzas' local expertise with eToro's global scale and product offering will allow us to realize this vision for millions of people in one of the most dynamic regions in the world."

He added that the acquisition is an important step in the company's commitment to establishing local operations in Latin America. "LB Finanzas has built a comprehensive investment platform that centralizes all services in one place, and joining forces with them will allow us to move faster and expand our operations across the region."

Camilo Cristia, co-founder and CEO of LB Finanzas, echoed Assia's remarks, adding: "We founded LB Finanzas in Rosario with a simple idea: that every Argentine should be able to invest using the same tools available to investors worldwide. Joining eToro allows us to take this idea much further. For our customers, nothing changes today. Moving forward, we will offer more products and operate on a broader scale, with the same team they already know."

This agreement marks eToro's fourth acquisition deal in 2026. In April, the company signed an agreement to acquire Zengo, a crypto wallet provider allowing users self-custody of their assets; in May, it acquired the Israeli crypto exchange Bit2C; and in August, it announced an agreement to acquire the US brokerage firm TradeZero. The company enjoys financial strength and is committed to expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions to support its growth strategy.
