Erik Stielman challenges the Recanati family to a debate: "Anywhere and at any time"
Against the backdrop of negotiations over the future of club ownership, the businessman has published a public appeal to the Recanati family, attached an archival video, and criticized their conduct toward Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.
Erik Stielman continues to increase the pressure on the Recanati family. Today, the businessman published a new post on social media in which he addressed Shie and Udi Recanati directly, calling on them to break their silence regarding the future of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
In his post, Stielman wrote: "Shie and Udi Recanati, it is time to provide answers and talk. I invite you to any place you choose and at any time, including the media channel you own."
Alongside these remarks, Stielman shared an archival video in which Udi Recanati is seen during a conversation with Maccabi Tel Aviv fans who surrounded his vehicle as part of a protest. He attached the following caption: "What Recanati really thinks about Maccabi fans who care about the team: 1. I will not talk to you. 2. It is none of your business. 3. Switch to Hapoel Tel Aviv."
As recalled, the Recanati family, which holds 58% of the shares of Maccabi Tel Aviv, is conducting negotiations to sell part of its holdings. Among those interested in the purchase is American businessman Jason Levin, while Stielman is simultaneously trying to promote his own offer. According to his proposal, he is willing to pay 120 million dollars for the Recanati family's shares and inject an additional 30 million dollars directly into the club's coffers, without changing the ownership structure.
