Erez Isakov Purchases Football Club: Two Stars Nearing Contract
The 'Big Brother' alumnus has completed the acquisition of Maccabi HaSharon Netanya from Liga Gimel. Alongside appointing a new coach and negotiating with Lior Berkovic, the owner is eyeing further squad reinforcements, with two major entertainment stars linked to the project.

Erez Isakov, known as a participant in the reality show 'Big Brother' and a former football player, has officially entered the world of sports management. On Thursday, Isakov completed the purchase of the football club Maccabi HaSharon Netanya, which competes in Liga Gimel.
The complex negotiation process with the previous club owners, brothers Ilan and Shimon Atiya, was documented as part of the filming for a new series titled 'The Isakovs'. Under the agreement, the Atiya brothers will continue to manage the club's daily operations, while Isakov will serve as the new owner.
In parallel with the acquisition, Isakov has begun assembling a professional team. Beyond the sporting objectives, the project aims to generate significant interest and ratings for the upcoming series.
His first move as owner was the appointment of the well-known former player Shlomi Dahan as the team's coach for the upcoming season. During his career, Dahan played for illustrious clubs such as Maccabi Netanya, Maccabi Haifa, and Germany's Borussia Dortmund.
Regarding the squad, Isakov is aiming for high-profile names to bolster the team and the entertainment value of the project. An initial approach has already been made to Lior Berkovic, son of Eyal Berkovic and a former colleague of Isakov on the show 'Goalstar', who retired from football about two years ago.
Currently, it is reported that the new owner is deliberating between strengthening the attacking line with either Tomer Talias or Liam Golan. Isakov was recently impressed by Talias's abilities, though he also thinks highly of Golan. However, the obstacle regarding Golan is that his player card belongs to Be'er Ya'akov.
