Nicolo Tresoldi Shines in Europe as Top Clubs Vie for the Young Striker
Nicolo Tresoldi, Club Brugge's star striker, is attracting interest from top European clubs and national teams including Germany, Italy, and Argentina after stellar performances.

When Jurgen Klopp and Roberto Mancini are both vying for your services, and your name is also mentioned as a possible candidate for the Argentina national team, you must be doing something right. Nicolo Tresoldi, the 22-year-old striker of Club Brugge and the Germany U-21 national team, is scoring goals in droves.
The Rise of a European Star
Tresoldi has been on the radar of major clubs for several years, ever since his time playing for Hannover. Last season he made a huge leap, finishing as the top scorer of the Belgian league with 19 goals and leading Brugge to the championship. Barcelona, which lost Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres in the summer, marked him as option B in case it fails to acquire Julian Alvarez. But this plan, and Brugge's dream of cashing in on him, had to wait.
Magic Night at San Siro
On October 13, with a hat-trick for Germany's youth team against Malta already under his belt, Tresoldi and Club Brugge arrived for a match against Inter at San Siro in the Champions League league phase. The Belgians won 4:3 in a sensational match, and the striker scored a hat-trick that surely made Barcelona's accountants grab their heads. Brugge, which bought him from Hannover 96 for 7.5 million euros, rejected a 35 million euro offer from Roma in the summer.
A Complex International Future
For Tresoldi, it was a special game. Not only because of the result or the goals he scored, but because he fulfilled a childhood dream: to beat Inter at San Siro. Born in Cagliari to an Italian father and an Argentine-born mother of Italian descent, he is eligible to represent Italy, Germany, or Argentina. Tresoldi intends to represent Germany in the upcoming European Under-21 Championship before making his final choice for a senior national team.
