During the program 'The Patriots', Erel Segal harshly criticized the conduct of the media in Israel, claiming that they are permanently mobilized against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to him, this phenomenon is not new and he has been witnessing it for decades, especially around election cycles. He emphasized that it is a continuous and systematic campaign.
Segal noted that he has been in the media since 1998 and has seen similar patterns in previous election cycles. 'In every election cycle... all the systems... mobilize. It is a mobilization. They are mobilized. They are literally working on it right now,' he said. He added that Channel 14 managed to 'get them out of the trenches,' thereby exposing the heart and activity of the media outlets, which constitute 'one big campaign 24/7.'
In an attempt to understand the scope of the phenomenon, Segal said that he asked a 'chat' whether there was a similar case where a personality was interviewed on the three main channels in such a coordinated manner. The answer he received was: 'Yes, the state's witness against Netanyahu.' He concluded his remarks with a firm statement: 'It will always be, it will always be the same merchandise, the same merchandise against Netanyahu.'
