On high alert: The condition set by Hapoel Be'er Sheva for signing the new player
Pedro Amador has arrived in Israel for comprehensive medical examinations to determine if he is fit to become the club's new left-back. Ran Kozuch is planning tactical changes in the attack ahead of the Víkingur match, while fans who traveled to Hungary are urging the team to deliver a win.
Left-back Pedro Amador landed in Israel overnight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) to undergo medical examinations. If the results are satisfactory, he will sign with Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
The club intends to conduct thorough tests on the Portuguese player, as he previously suffered an Achilles tendon injury. Reports from the United States suggest this was the reason for his release from Atlanta United (MLS). The deal is strictly conditional: a contract will only be signed if Amador is proven to be fully fit.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva is currently in Hungary ahead of this evening's crucial Conference League qualifier second leg against Víkingur (20:30). Until the new foreign left-back is officially signed, Matan Baltaxa is expected to fill the role.
Based on training sessions, striker Jeovan East is expected to start, likely replacing either Muhammad Abu Rumi or Amir Ganah. The coaching staff analyzed the first leg and noted the difficulty of dealing with the Icelandic defenders' physicality; East is considered a strong and physical player. Coach Ran Kozuch has also instructed the squad to be much more aggressive.
A few hundred fans made the long journey to the city of Szombathely in northern Hungary. Some traveled via Vienna, while others landed in Budapest and endured a three-hour drive. Fans visited the team hotel to wish the players luck, with some joking:
"We traveled all the way to this hole, now give us some relief."
Tonight's match will be the final appearance for Kings Kangwa at Hapoel Be'er Sheva, after which he will fly to Greece to sign with Panathinaikos.
