The Tel Aviv District Commander, Nitzav Haim Sargrof, signed an administrative closure order on Tuesday for the Butra restaurant on HaArba'a Street in Tel Aviv, after two illegal aliens were found employed at the business without legal residency or work permits.
In an official statement, the police spokesperson noted: "As part of the activities of the Lev Tel Aviv station officers in the Yarkon District on August 30, 2026, officers arrived at the business on HaArba'a Street and located two foreign nationals who were in Israel without legal permits and were employed at the business."
Following the findings, a criminal investigation was opened. Parallel to the investigation, licensing officers in the Yarkon District moved to review the business's status. After examining the evidence, the Tel Aviv District Commander, Nitzav Haim Sargrof, signed an order for the administrative closure and cessation of operations for 30 days, effective until September 30, 2026, inclusive.
