El Al Extends Frequent Flyer Diamond Program Through February 2027
El Al has extended its frequent flyer diamond program until February 2027, amid stellar financial results showing soaring revenues and net profits for the loyalty club.
El Al's frequent flyer club has announced that its current diamond program, originally set to expire at the end of 2026, will be extended until the end of February 2027. The airline stated that current program terms will remain in effect until then, citing ongoing developments and new features currently in the works.
The diamond program allows members to accumulate diamonds based on purchased flight tickets and credit card spending, helping them advance through the club's tier statuses. These tiers offer benefits such as dedicated check-in counters, lounge access, seat selection, and class upgrades. The current program was previously scheduled to end in September, but in June the company postponed it to December.
In the background, El Al's frequent flyer club transitioned last March from CAL (Israel Credit Cards) to Isracard. The club noted at the time that points would continue to accumulate and previously earned diamonds would not be affected.
Concurrently, El Al implemented changes to diamond accumulation in April 2025, altering status accumulation conditions and the required number of diamonds for advancement. The program will now remain unchanged until February 2027, when a further program revision is expected.
Overall, the frequent flyer club is considered a cash cow for El Al. In the second quarter of the year, the frequent flyer program recorded revenues of $41 million, a 77% surge compared to the same period last year, while its net profit jumped 50% to $26.2 million. For the first half of the year, club revenues reached $70.9 million, a 48% increase compared to the first half of 2025, with net profit surging 22% to $38.2 million.
