Develop a sensitive stomach and don't let stereotypes manage you. A difficult period is ahead of us

Benjamin Netanyahu is looking for a campaign. He still doesn't have one. Along the way, in a process of trial and error, he sprays poison, hatred, evil, and divisiveness without any restraint. Divisiveness is his art. This week, in another interview for his fans' podcast, this time with Avi Shushan, he said that although there was no betrayal on October 7, "but the head of the Shin Bet needs to investigate it."

Beyond saying and broadcasting that Gadi Eisenkot is an enemy of Israel who destroyed the IDF, brought about the October 7 disaster, opposed the war, loves Arabs, and hates Jews — he and his troupe have nothing. He is looking for a campaign. With what will he lead his flock to the ballot boxes? With "Mr. Security"? Are they and their family members not being called up for three years of frayed nerves? Are their sons and daughters, and they themselves, not being called up for hundreds of reserve duty days while they provide an "Iron Dome" for draft dodgers and deserters? Maybe with "Mr. Economy"? Are they not collapsing under the cost of living? Maybe "Mr. Diplomacy," a kind of different league of world leadership alongside the US President? That worked somehow in the past, but Israel's situation around the world, and especially in the US, is in a dire state and worse than ever.

Netanyahu, who was once also the best campaigner in our history, is looking for a campaign, looking for the late Arthur Finkelstein, for the "rock of our existence," and for "saving Israel from its destruction," and so on. He still does not understand whether Trump on his side is a burden or an asset in Israel and with what achievements to go to the voter. Meanwhile, he, his surroundings, and his mouthpieces are spreading poison, hatred, and divisiveness toward everything that is not Netanyahu.

You will need to develop a sensitive stomach, consume media correctly, use logic and filters, not surrender to hatred and fear, and above all, ensure that everyone goes to the ballot boxes, with a white shirt, with a song in the heart, and with the understanding that it is possible to change reality in one minute, with two fingers behind the curtain.

Netanyahu's campaign for now is that "Gadi Eisenkot will go with Yair Golan and with Mansour Abbas." As if Eisenkot has more hours of Abbas than Netanyahu or Yoav Kisch, as if Eisenkot was called "Abu Yair" and not Netanyahu himself. As if Eisenkot authorized the political partnership with Abbas and not Netanyahu with the support of Channel 14 at the time "when it was needed."

And here comes Ya-Ya Fink from "The Democrats," who was elected this week to the fourth spot on the list for the Knesset, and publicly asked the obvious question: if Gadi has no government without Abbas and Netanyahu has no government without Yitzhak Goldknopf, which of them is more dangerous to Israel? Which of them loves the country more, is connected to it, and committed to it? Which of them harms Israel's security more? Who is in favor of civil service for every 18-year-old boy and girl, and who would die rather than be drafted? Do not be surprised if you soon find Netanyahu attacking the ultra-Orthodox for their draft dodging. He has no problem with that.

And this is the simple truth that I am shouting here and not only here, for many months: a partnership, if necessary, with Mansour Abbas is better than one with Goldknopf — the chief of staff of the army of draft dodgers, supporter of deserters, extortionist of funds, whose connection to the Zionist State of Israel is loose and coincidental. Whose connection to the Danube River is deeper and wider than his connection to the Jordan River and the Yarkon. Think about that too. Do not let fear and stereotypes manage you.

There is at least one thing that I personally and "The Democrats" have in common — we are both aiming for double digits, they in mandates and I in weight (I hope I am on the right track).

And in the meantime, two comments, one good and one less so. It is impossible to ignore the fact that Yair Golan managed to ignite a flame in the smoldering embers of two parties that were brought to burial in recent years — Labor and Meretz. It is impossible not to be impressed and bow to the impressive number of registered members, the very high voter turnout in the primaries, and the fast and reliable technical process.

The less good thing in my opinion is that there is no representative of the Kibbutz Movement in a realistic spot on the list. There is no representative for the 260 kibbutzim after these years when the Kibbutz Movement revealed itself in all its responsibility and glory, from Nir Oz and Be'eri in the south to Misgav Am and Manara in the north.

The Kibbutz Movement was always at the base of this party, and this time the result and the composition of the lacking list create a wide and promising field of action for Eisenkot and his party "Yesha!" as a worthy governing alternative. In the movement, they also remember how their representatives were rudely ousted from the national institutions by the Democrats, and how it was Benny Gantz who gave them the reserved spots for his faction.

Just as I am not ashamed to declare to you that I am moved to tears when the IDF Orchestra marches and plays the "IDF March," so I declare that I am moved to tears when a new kibbutz is established. My father Yaakov, of blessed memory, a Palmach fighter and one of the founders of Kibbutz Malkiya in the Upper Galilee, used to tell me how he was moved when they took him and his training comrades at Givat Haim on a tractor wagon to the ceremony of establishing Kibbutz HaMa'apil, adjacent to my kibbutz Lehavot Haviva — and that is apparently contagious.

And here I am moved ahead of the establishment of a new kibbutz after 30 years, Kibbutz "Ma'ale Aharon" named after Aharon Yadlin, of blessed memory, on the outskirts of the city of Arad in the Negev. The kibbutz is founded by the HaShomer HaTzair movement and the Kibbutz Movement, and the founding core is currently forming. About this it is said: "Look, gaze, and see how great this day is."
