Two men in their 40s were killed and a woman of the same age was moderately injured in a severe car accident involving two private vehicles that occurred overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday on Highway 383 south of Zekharia.
MADA medics and paramedics who arrived quickly at the scene were forced to declare the death of both men after they suffered severe multi-system trauma. At the same time, medical teams provided initial treatment at the scene and evacuated the woman, whose condition is defined as moderate, to Shaare Zedek Hospital.
MADA paramedic Tzuriel Mayers, senior MADA medic Yehoshua Gottlieb, and MADA medic Shmuel Arieli, who treated the incident, recalled:
"This is a very severe car accident between two vehicles. We saw a man in his 40s lying on the side of the road unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with significant injuries, and another man trapped in his vehicle who was also unconscious. We performed medical checks, but to our great regret, they had no signs of life and we had no choice but to declare their death. At the same time, we provided medical treatment and evacuated a woman who was moderately injured to the hospital."
