Two years after he fell in Lebanon: Shaul Moyal's family receives happy news

Almost two years after Sergeant Major (res.) Shaul Moyal (may God avenge his blood) was killed in battles in Lebanon, his family received happy news this morning (Monday): his daughter gave birth to a baby girl. The baby was named Rina, a name chosen in his memory and to continue Shaul's path.

Shaul's daughter wrote after the birth: "4th of Elul 5786, with God's help a daughter was born to us. 'Break forth into joy and sing, you who have not been in labor'." According to her, the family chose the name Rina because it "symbolizes the eternal joy of the people of Israel, the continuation of the smile of Dad (who is already a grandfather) Shaul (may God avenge his blood) who was cut down almost two years ago." Later, the mother wrote that she wishes for her daughter "that she will rejoice and illuminate the world with her light, with a radiant face and a constant smile." She concluded her words with a message: "Hezbollah, you tried to destroy us, you did not succeed! The people of Israel live."

Smadar, Shaul's widow, wrote: "Thank you for the small and precious treasure you sent us, for a pure soul that joined our family, for a gift greater than which there is none, a beloved and precious granddaughter." According to her, the birth brought "more comfort that has arrived, for the heart that fills with joy."

Smadar further wrote: "About tears of excitement and great gratitude. About the privilege of embracing a new generation." She added that she prays that the new generation "will walk in the path, values, and legacy of Grandpa Shaul (may God avenge his blood)," and will be "part of a strong link in the chain of generations of the people of Israel." At the end of her words, Smadar blessed the baby: "Welcome, Rina."
