Against the backdrop of rising antisemitism, misinformation, and increasing pressure on young Jews regarding their connection to Israel, the Masa Makers delegation arrived this week at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem. This is the first international influencer delegation from the Masa organization, designed to allow Jewish content creators from the Diaspora to experience Israel beyond the headlines and share their personal, direct stories.

The delegation includes creators from the USA, Canada, Australia, and Argentina, covering fields ranging from sports and women's health to culinary arts and lifestyle. Together, they reach millions of followers, sharing the meetings and experiences they have gathered during their time in Israel.

Members of the delegation shared with Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials the challenges they face in their communities, on campuses, and on social media—ranging from antisemitism to the constant pressure to explain or justify their affinity for Israel.

In a conversation with Sharon Rappaport, Director of the Jewish Communities Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the group discussed the growing role of influencers in shaping international discourse. Participants explored how direct contact with people and institutions in Israel can be transformed into credible, human-centric content that provides creators with the confidence to engage in public discourse in their own voice.

Dan Oryon, Director of the Public Diplomacy Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated:

"Over the past year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hosted over 6,400 guests in more than 300 delegations. Our partnership with Masa is an opportunity to deepen connections with communities and promote content that centers on both the Jewish and Israeli story."

The meeting took place as Masa and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs deepen their joint efforts to provide tools to young Jews on the international stage. The Israeli government recently approved the "Masa-Diplomacy" program, designed to deepen familiarity with the Middle East, international institutions, and the diversity of Israeli society.

Meir Holtz, CEO of the Masa organization, concluded:

"A real connection to Israel begins with direct acquaintance. Through the Masa Makers delegation and our new program, we are helping young Jews acquire the knowledge and practical tools to speak about Israel in their own voice. Their personal stories are among the most significant ways to strengthen the bond between Israel and Jewish communities worldwide."
