A festive event intended to launch the new Deni Avdija jersey ended in disappointment for some of the fans who arrived at the venue, after they claimed the promise they received at the time of purchase was not fulfilled.

According to a report on the program "HaTzinor", Nike announced in advance that the first 50 people to purchase the new jersey of the Israeli basketball player would get to meet him in person.

The promise of a meeting with Avdija made the purchase of the jersey particularly attractive to his fans. Some of them arrived at the event with the clear expectation that if they were among the first 50 buyers, they would be able to meet the star and take a picture with him. However, according to the report, the event did not go as the buyers expected, and Avdija left the venue after meeting less than half of the people included in the first group.

This means that buyers who arrived early, paid for the jersey, and understood that they were entitled to a meeting, were ultimately left without the opportunity for which they had come. On the program, Roni Avraham described the sense of disappointment among the buyers:

"They bought the jersey for over 200 shekels just to meet him."

For those fans, this was not a regular purchase of an item of clothing or a product associated with a beloved player. The opportunity to meet Avdija was a central part of their decision to purchase the jersey, especially in light of the explicit promise given to the first 50 buyers. When it turned out that only less than half of them managed to meet him, the rest were left with the jersey they had purchased, but without the meeting they had expected.

Nike responded by stating that due to high demand, not all buyers were able to take a picture with Avdija. The company apologized for the inconvenience caused by the event.

Although the response explains that the large number of fans made it difficult to complete the meetings, according to the report, the main claim of the buyers remains: these are not people who arrived without coordination or hoped to meet the star by chance, but customers who were explicitly told that being among the first 50 would allow them to do so.
