According to The Democrats, Peretz explicitly refused to praise the Brothers in Arms organization while discussing civil society contributions after October 7.
"Brothers in Arms and the civilian command center are among the most vital civic initiatives established in Israel," the party stated. "These are individuals who assumed responsibility when the state failed, fought for democracy, and mobilized all their strength to assist, rescue, and rebuild during the moment of truth."
The Democrats urged Peretz and the Yashar leadership to clarify their position and salute those who donned uniforms, fought, rescued, and sacrificed everything for the country. The party concluded its official statement by expressing deep gratitude to the civil movement.
