Degel HaTorah Weighs Potential Coalition Talks With Gadi Eisenkot
Degel HaTorah lawmakers are seeking rabbinical blessings ahead of the Knesset term while privately discussing a potential coalition with Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar party.
Ahead of the new parliamentary term, members of the Degel HaTorah faction are scheduled to visit the homes of their spiritual leaders, Rabbi Dov Lando and Rabbi Hirsch, on Saturday evening. The primary purpose of the visit is to receive the rabbis' blessing as lawmakers begin their work in the Knesset.
Behind the official visits, however, significant political discussions are underway. According to political sources, faction members will deliberate on the possibility of joining a government led by Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party.
Despite exploring potential cooperation, Degel HaTorah is currently maintaining a cautious stance. The party's current plan is to withhold endorsement from any candidate during consultations with the President of Israel, thereby keeping all political options open for the future.
