Vote counting begins: first results from Likud primaries

The vote count in the Likud party primaries began a short while ago. Our correspondents Moti Kastel and Avraham Hasson have provided the first results from the counted polling stations. It is important to emphasize that these figures represent only two polling stations out of hundreds.

At the polling station in Jerusalem, MK Amir Ohana and Minister Amichai Chikli are tied at the top. Following them are Yariv Levin, Almog Cohen, Amit Halevi, and Moshe Saada, who round out the top six.

At the polling station in Tel Aviv, MK Amir Ohana and Minister Amichai Chikli are also in the lead. In third place is Moshe Saada, followed by Almog Cohen, Tally Gotliv, and Yariv Levin, who complete the list of the top six.

Meanwhile, our correspondent Avraham Hasson reported suspicions of serious fraud at the Likud polling station in Yeruham. Minister May Golan and MK Amit Halevi have filed urgent complaints with the Likud Central Election Committee, demanding an immediate halt to the vote count at that location.

"During the count, there have been repeated incidents of erasures, changes, and markings of votes that do not correspond to the names of the candidates being read out," the complaints allege.

Golan and Halevi are demanding that the count be stopped immediately and that a reinforced team of lawyers and election committee representatives be dispatched to the site, noting that some records were only corrected after the intervention of on-site observers.
