David InterContinental Tel Aviv Completes NIS 40 Million Room Renovation

The impressive structure of the 555-room hotel maintains an elegant and welcoming atmosphere despite its grand scale. The high-ceilinged lobby flows seamlessly into the main dining area, offering panoramic views of the property's famous swimming pool. The international ambiance is complemented by curated artworks, ranging from colorful pop-art sculptures in the gallery to a massive chandelier hanging above the entrance staircase. Premium Terrace Rooms Redefined

More than 100 rooms located on floors 5 through 10 recently underwent a comprehensive NIS 40 million renovation. The upgrade is evident in every detail, from brand-new carpeting and custom furniture to fully redesigned bathrooms.

The newly launched Premium Terrace rooms are designed to merge spacious indoor living with private 12-square-meter outdoor terraces—a rare luxury in Tel Aviv's hotel market. The redesigned bathrooms feature natural stone and porcelain finishes, floating stone vanities, walk-in rain showers, and deep soaking tubs.

Dining Options: From Jachnun to Gefilte Fish

The grand lobby, characterized by soaring ceilings and white columns, serves as a central meeting point where guests can enjoy coffee and pastries. Adjacent to the lobby is the Jaffa Court restaurant, which hosts daily breakfast and dinner services. Reflecting the standards of the British-owned hospitality brand, the service staff is predominantly English-speaking.

The dinner buffet features a wide selection of antipasti, gefilte fish, chopped liver, root vegetable salads, and cherry tomatoes. Main courses include roasted chicken, beef dishes, traditional couscous with vegetable broth, and fish specialties such as chraime and salmon.

The breakfast buffet offers traditional Yemenite jachnun served with grated tomatoes and schug, alongside lasagnas, spinach pastries, and classic bourekas. Due to Shabbat observance on Saturdays, automated espresso machines are unavailable, but hot filter coffee is served directly to tables.

Spa, Pool, and 24-Hour Fitness

The outdoor recreation area features a half-Olympic swimming pool overlooking the promenade, a dedicated toddler pool, and a poolside bar.

THE Spa, the hotel's luxury wellness facility, includes seven treatment rooms (including a couple's suite), dry and wet saunas, and a relaxation lounge. Treatments include hot basalt stone therapy, Swedish massage, and deep tissue therapy, with prices starting at NIS 565 during weekdays. For active travelers, the hotel's fully equipped fitness center is open 24/7.

Executive Lounge on the 24th Floor

Situated on the 24th floor, the Executive Lounge (accessible for an additional fee) offers rotating dairy menus and premium alcoholic beverages. The lounge features panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline on one side and the red-tiled roofs of the historic Neve Tzedek neighborhood on the other.

A unique feature of the lounge's culinary presentation is a selection of six distinct olive oils available to accompany cheeses, salads, and artisanal breads. Notable menu items include a wild rice salad with pineapple and fresh salmon bruschetta.

The David InterContinental occupies a prime location just a two-minute walk from the beach, the Carmel Market, and the Neve Tzedek neighborhood. The historic port of Jaffa and the alleyways of Kerem HaTeimanim are also within easy walking distance.

In the lobby area, guests can visit the Corridor Gallery, which currently showcases colorful bear sculptures by Japanese pop-artist Hiro Ando. The gallery features works by emerging international artists alongside established names. Opening hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 to 18:00, and Friday from 11:00 to 14:30.
