Cybersecurity for AI: Zenity Raises $125 Million to Secure AI Agents

The Israeli cyber company Zenity has raised $125 million in a Series C round led by Norwest Venture Partners. New investors Qumra Capital, SoftBank, Hitachi Ventures, and LG Technology Ventures participated in the round, alongside existing investors DTCP, Vertex Ventures, Third Point Ventures, and Intel Capital. Following this round, the company's total capital raised stands at approximately $185 million.

The company develops a platform for securing AI agents in organizations. Unlike chatbots that provide answers only, AI agents integrate into business processes, access corporate systems, operate tools, perform actions, and make decisions on behalf of the user autonomously. Therefore, the company argues, organizations must ensure that the agents' actions comply with the permissions, policies, and purposes for which they operate.

Zenity's platform analyzes the intent of an AI agent's action in real-time, allowing it to be approved, modified, or blocked before execution, depending on the agent's context. The system is designed to distinguish between legitimate activity and actions resulting from manipulation, misuse, or deviation from defined goals. It supports tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Codex, and others.

"The era of artificial intelligence experiments is already behind us," said Ben Kliger, co-founder and CEO of Zenity. "Organizations around the world are adopting AI agents at an unprecedented pace. A new approach to information security is required, one that will allow organizations to adopt the technology with confidence, without giving up control and oversight."

The funding will be used to accelerate global expansion and meet the demand for solutions to secure the use and development of AI agents. Today, Zenity employs more than 230 people worldwide, with about 150 based in Israel. The company's R&D center is located in Tel Aviv, while marketing and operations are managed from New York.
