The newspaper 'Al-Akhbar' reported this morning (Saturday) on growing public anger on the Egyptian street that has set off 'red lights' in Cairo. According to the report, this tension was described in reports recently submitted to the office of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who is at his summer residence in the city of El Alamein in the north of the country.

Egyptian sources who spoke with 'Al-Akhbar' noted that the reports tracked the impact of rising fuel, electricity, and water prices on the public, which doubled the economic burden on families whose members mostly work in the private sector — a sector where many do not reach the minimum wage. Difficulties are mounting.

Following this, there were reports of several meetings that el-Sisi held. These meetings dealt with several issues such as the crisis in the education system, and during them, el-Sisi emphasized the need to avoid placing additional difficulties on the citizens. However, the newspaper reported that the issue of education is not the only one causing public dissatisfaction in the land of the Nile.

According to the report, complaints are growing in Egypt regarding the exclusion of people from the subsidized bread program. Other complaints arise against the backdrop of the phenomenon of poor children who work on the roads and are killed in traffic accidents. Against the backdrop of these matters, reports were noted regarding the possibility that the Egyptian government of Mostafa Madbouly will be dismissed, in an attempt by President el-Sisi to suppress the growing public anger toward the regime.
