Celebration at Ben Gurion Airport: Aviation giant from the USA returns to Israel — only $1500
The past weekend brought a series of good news for vacationers in Israel with the announcement of the return of several aviation giants. Beyond the optimism in the aviation situation, the return of the companies will bring competition and cause prices to drop.
Many foreign airlines canceled their flights to Israel following the outbreak of the war, but recently a recovery trend has been recorded at Ben Gurion Airport. At the peak of the summer season, another airline is coming out with happy news for thousands of Israelis and officially announcing its return to the country.
The American airline, Delta Air Lines, is on its way to resuming flights to Israel. According to reports, it is expected to return as early as September 6 with a daily line on the New York-Tel Aviv route, with the departure time at noon and landing at 9:30 AM the next day. Prices currently start at $1500.
At the same time, over the past weekend, several airlines chose to delight Israelis and announced the renewal of their service to Tel Aviv:

The Romanian airline, AnimaWings, is expected to resume flights from Tel Aviv to Bucharest as early as tomorrow, August 10.

The Dutch airline KLM will return to operate the line between Amsterdam (Schiphol) and Tel Aviv on August 25.

The American airline United Airlines is expected to resume its flights to Israel on September 8, in a format of two daily flights on the Newark-Tel Aviv route.
On the other hand, there are companies that still prefer not to take a risk and continue to postpone their return. One of them is the Canadian airline, Air Canada, which announced the extension of its flight cancellations to Israel until mid-January 2027. American Airlines also announced last week that it will not return to operate the direct line between New York (JFK) and Tel Aviv before March 27, 2027.
