World's Richest People Ranking: Is Elon Musk on his way to a trillion dollars again?
The fortune of the Tesla founder shows a significant increase this week, placing him in a league of his own, while Forbes' weekly list of the world's richest people reveals tight competition for the following spots.

Elon Musk continues to solidify his status as the richest person in the world, with his fortune reaching $926.2 billion this week, according to Forbes' weekly list of the world's richest people. This is a significant increase compared to $872.3 billion last week, with his fortune growing by $53.2 billion in just one day.
The surge in Musk's fortune brings him closer again to the trillion-dollar threshold, and if the current trend continues, he may approach it rapidly. The gap between him and the other business leaders at the top remains enormous.
In second place is Larry Page, co-founder of Google and former CEO of the company, with a fortune of $279.7 billion. Page added $4 billion to his fortune in a single day, but is still very far from Musk, with the gap between the two standing at $646.5 billion.
In third place stands Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, with a fortune of $266.9 billion. Bezos recorded an increase of $3.5 billion compared to the previous day and $2.3 billion compared to last week. The gap between him and Page now stands at "only" $12.8 billion, so the battle for second place remains open.
In fourth place is Sergey Brin, Page's partner and co-founder of Google, with a fortune of $258.1 billion. Brin added $3.7 billion in one day.
Breathing down his neck is Michael Dell, who holds a fortune of $256 billion and is only $2.1 billion behind Brin. Dell recorded one of the most notable jumps on the list, with an addition of $5.3 billion in one day. Compared to last week, his fortune grew by about $10 billion.
The picture at the top of the world's richest people presents two different stories. On one hand, Musk is in a league of his own and holds a huge gap from second place. On the other hand, a particularly tight struggle is developing in the second to fifth places, and Dell may be the next to climb up the list if the growth trend in his fortune continues.
