Dozens of people, including residents of the Gaza envelope, are protesting this morning (Tuesday) at the Kerem Shalom crossing, against the backdrop of the increase in kites that have penetrated the area from the Gaza Strip, and against the entry of foreign forces into the Strip before Hamas is disarmed. Later, the protesters reached the vicinity of the American base in the south of the Strip and continued their protest there.

The protesters fear that the rehabilitation of the Strip is beginning, and with it the rehabilitation of Hamas — before the realization of the government's and Benjamin Netanyahu's promise to disarm it after October 7. Netanyahu warns Hamas: Will the kite launches continue? We will eliminate those responsible and evacuate the population.

Gilad Erdan, who arrived at the scene, asked to speak, but some of the protesters asked him to stop, claiming that this is not a political event. "You are all politics, because if not — you would have no interest in coming here," he was told.

Dani Rahamim, a member of Kibbutz Nahal Oz who serves as the kibbutz's spokesperson, said at the protest:

"After the October 7 of the Hamas monsters — there is no chance that Hamas will continue to rule Gaza. It will not happen."

The "Tzav 9" movement and the "Gaza Envelope Forum" that organized the protest this morning stated:

"This is an emergency protest against the backdrop of the plans to introduce international forces into the Gaza Strip and start rehabilitation processes, even before full demilitarization of the Strip and the dismantling of the terrorist organization Hamas from its infrastructure and weapons has been achieved. We are crying out against the direct damage to the state's security and the transfer of security powers to foreign forces with interests contrary to those of the State of Israel."

The organizers added that the presence of foreign forces on the ground will tie the hands of IDF soldiers, will constitute a real danger to the state's security, and will effectively begin the rehabilitation of the Strip without the dismantling of Hamas and the demilitarization of the Strip.
