Bonus BioGroup CEO Faces Indictment Over Alleged Tel Aviv Stock Manipulation
The State Attorney's Office considers indicting Bonus BioGroup CEO Dr. Shay Marzok and Chairman Dr. Yosef Roich for alleged stock manipulation and securities fraud.

The State Attorney's Office has informed Dr. Shay Marzok, CEO of the biotechnology company Bonus BioGroup, that it is considering filing criminal charges against him pending a hearing. Marzok, whose wife is Haifa Magistrate's Court Judge Chava Klemperer-Marzok, is suspected of securities fraud, aggravated larceny by deception, and violating reporting duties to mislead investors. Similar notices were sent to Board Chairman Dr. Yosef Roich and the company itself.
According to the company's disclosure to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the suspicions stem from alleged actions taken to keep Bonus BioGroup's shares included in the TA-90 and TA-125 indices. The Israel Securities Authority launched the investigation in February 2024, and the case was transferred to the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office (Taxation and Economics) in December 2025.
Investigators suspect that trades worth millions of shekels were executed without economic rationale during critical dates to manipulate stock prices and secure the company's index placement. Judge Klemperer-Marzok is not a suspect in the affair.
In January 2026, Marzok participated in the opening bell ceremony at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange to mark the company's admission to the bourse's '100 Club' for generating over 100% returns for shareholders in 2025. Bonus BioGroup stated it intends to review the evidence and present its defense at the hearing, asserting that it has strong legal grounds to dismiss the allegations.
