The police have announced preparations for protests expected this afternoon, Monday, in the central region following the arrest of an ultra-Orthodox deserter. According to police reports, traffic disruptions are possible in the Bnei Brak area: Highway 4 from the Aluf Sadeh interchange to the Em HaMoshavot interchange may be closed in both directions. Congestion and blockages are also anticipated along the Jabotinsky axis in Bnei Brak.

The police further stated:

«We recommend that the public use alternative routes and stay updated at all times; one should avoid arriving at these locations. The Israel Police views the right to protest as a cornerstone of a democratic state and allows demonstrations as long as they are held within the framework of the law. At the same time, the police will not allow any public disorder, infringement on freedom of movement, or any behavior that could endanger public safety.»

According to estimates, the protest is expected to begin around 17:00.
