Ben Caspit on right-wing activist: 'He was my soldier. I abused him and his friends'
The journalist shares the satirical post of Baruch Marzel, adding that he is a 'true far-right ideologue'
Baruch Marzel is an Israeli radical right-wing activist and a prominent figure among the followers of Rabbi Meir Kahane. He resides in Tel Rumeida in Hebron, was the secretary of the 'Kach' faction and headed the movement after Kahane's assassination, and is also one of the founders of the 'Otzma Yehudit' party. In several posts he has published recently, he satirically attacks Minister Idit Silman, mainly due to her populist actions such as the announcement of the establishment of a crocodile pool near a prison in partnership with Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
Journalist Ben Caspit re-shared Marzel's post and wrote: 'Baruch Marzel is a Kahanist. In my opinion, he should be ostracized.' He continued with an anecdote from his military service, during which he was a tank commander in the 7th Brigade: 'He was also my soldier in a hesder yeshiva at the armor school. I quite abused him and his friends, today we laugh about it.'
