Ben Caspit reveals who he will support in the elections and admits: "I am not a leftist"

Ben Caspit, a presenter on Channel 12 and a broadcaster on the 103FM radio station, is accustomed to expressing his views on current affairs through his social media accounts, especially regarding issues that generate widespread public interest.

Against the backdrop of the growing discourse surrounding the upcoming elections and the parties' propaganda campaigns, Caspit revealed which candidates for prime minister he supports. In a tweet he published on his X account, he addressed the campaign video of the "Democrats" party, which was distributed on social media.

In the video, the military positions held by party chairman Yair Golan and his faction members are presented, while comparing them to prominent politicians from the right-wing camp, including ministers Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich.

"I am not voting for the Democrats (I am debating between Gadi, Avigdor, and Naftali). They are a left-wing party and I am not a leftist. I am also almost certain that Yair Golan will not be the next Minister of Defense. The Israeli public has shifted to the right and Golan is not a right-wing person. I would be very happy if he took the Ministry of Internal Security portfolio. But let's talk about their list. The facts speak for themselves," wrote Ben Caspit.

In the footage, Golan was presented as a Major General (res.) with 38 years of service in the IDF. Naama Lazimi was presented as a Captain (res.) in the Home Front Command and a fighter for the release of the hostages.

Minister Itamar Ben Gvir was defined as a "draft dodger from the IDF and a convicted criminal." In addition, the party members noted that Minister Bezalel Smotrich did a shortened service at the Kirya and that he opposed hostage deals during the negotiation stages with the terrorist organization Hamas.
