Indictment Filed Against Two Men for Operating Prostitution Ring and Laundering Funds
An indictment was filed against two men in Be'er Sheva for running an extensive prostitution ring, recruiting women from abroad, and laundering hundreds of thousands of shekels.
An indictment was filed in the Be'er Sheva District Court against 37-year-old Alexander Zinger from Be'er Sheva and 42-year-old Yaakov Mirmovitch from Eilat, on charges of operating a prostitution service business and other offenses. According to the indictment, Zinger generated at least 900,000 shekels from the activity within roughly seven months.
Recruitment and Telegram Operations
According to the prosecution, Zinger operated to recruit women from Commonwealth of Independent States countries and bring them to Israel for prostitution. Four female agents were deployed during the investigation: two Belarusian residents and two Israeli policewomen. The indictment states that Zinger published advertisements on Telegram targeting women aged 18 to 30, promising high income, accommodation, and a client base.
"Zinger instructed the agents to enter the country as part of organized tours so as not to arouse the suspicion of border control officers," the prosecution noted.
Arrests and Financial Scope
In some instances, he reportedly recommended that they purchase a new phone without Israeli numbers or information that could indicate their intent to engage in prostitution. One of the agents from Belarus arrived in Israel in coordination with Zinger, who picked her up from a Dead Sea hotel and drove her to an apartment in Eilat.
From December 2025, Mirmovitch allegedly joined the operation, handling money collection from the women and transferring it to Zinger. The prosecution requests to detain both defendants until the end of proceedings and to confiscate assets and funds seized during the investigation.
