Bangkok police arrested a 51-year-old man after security footage caught him entering a private pond and committing sexual acts with koi fish. The suspect confessed to the bizarre acts during interrogation.

Bangkok police arrested a 51-year-old man suspected of entering a private fish pond and performing sexual acts on koi fish, after the owner discovered the incident via security cameras.
Police Investigation and Arrest
According to local media reports, the incident took place outside a house in a side street off Vibhavadi Rangsit Road at around 8:00 PM on September 7. Security camera footage showed the suspect, identified as 51-year-old Suchitchai, arriving on a bicycle and parking it near the fish pond before exposing himself and attempting to catch a koi fish.
The suspect then stripped, entered the pond, and caught a koi fish, using it for masturbation before returning it to the water. A housekeeper and the pond owner discovered the suspect, who fled on his bicycle while the owner gave chase, though the owner fell and sustained injuries. A formal complaint was subsequently filed at the Thung Song Hong police station.
"The suspect admitted to the acts and claimed he acted out of sudden sexual impulse because he has no partner and no money for commercial sex," police stated.
Confession and Background
Investigators tracked down the suspect after spotting him walking in the area wearing the same clothes seen in the security footage. Upon noticing the police, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.
During interrogation, Suchitchai confessed to being the person in the video. He told officers that he originally came to the area to bathe, but upon seeing the koi fish, he experienced a sexual urge. He claimed to have performed similar acts with fish previously, avoiding cleaner fish due to their spikes, which caused less pain with koi. Police also noted that the suspect admitted to drug use, stating he relied on drugs he found rather than purchasing them.
