Ukrainian Drones Strike Saratov Region as Russian Shelling Hits Kyiv
Ukrainian drone strikes hit civilian infrastructure, an oil refinery, and an Ozon warehouse in Russia's Saratov region, while Russian shelling injured two in Kyiv.
Ukraine launched a drone strike targeting the Saratov region deep inside Russia, southeast of Moscow. Governor Roman Busargin reported on Friday that civilian infrastructure was damaged in the attack. Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels published footage showing fires at an oil refinery and a warehouse complex belonging to the Russian e-commerce giant Ozon.
Ozon officially confirmed that drones struck its storage facility, sparking a fire. The strike occurred during a wave of Ukrainian attacks aimed at various infrastructures across the Saratov region.
Simultaneously, authorities in Kyiv reported that two people were injured in a Russian bombardment targeting the Ukrainian capital. The strike caused severe damage and a fire in a nine-story residential building, as emergency services responded to the scene.
