Baltaxa in doubt for Hapoel Be'er Sheva's return leg against Vikingur

Hapoel Be'er Sheva will fly on Monday for the return leg against Iceland's Vikingur in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, following a 2:1 loss in the first match. Team defender Matan Baltaxa remains in doubt for the match. He did not participate in yesterday's training, and this evening he is scheduled to conduct his first running session since suffering a head injury on the eve of the match in Iceland last week. As recalled, Baltaxa was struck in the head during the final training session before the first encounter with Vikingur and suffered a mild concussion. According to the protocol, he will only conduct a running session this evening, ahead of the possibility that he will hold a full training session tomorrow. In any case, his participation remains uncertain.
Eliel Peretz is expected to return to the lineup, having been benched in Iceland for professional reasons. The club is convinced that even though Kings Kangwa is already on the verge of a move to Panathinaikos and has even given an interview to Greek media, he will give his all on Wednesday to help Hapoel Be'er Sheva overcome the Icelandic champions. A victory in this encounter will guarantee Alona Barkat's team a spot at least in the league phase of the Conference League.
