While Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is making his way to the memorial service for friend of Israel Lindsey Graham, who recently passed away, and ahead of the planned meeting with US President Donald Trump, a real storm is brewing on social media.
At the center of the commotion is journalist Barak Ravid, a foreign affairs commentator for Channel 12, known for his international political scoops and boasting a close telephone connection with Trump.
Ravid published a tweet that caused a stir, revealing an unusual statement by the American president. According to the post, just three hours before their meeting, Trump conveyed a message through the Fox News network that Ravid described as "chilling" to Netanyahu.
According to Trump, Netanyahu is talking about the "Pickaxe mountain" in Iran with the goal of convincing him to remain involved in the war. The president emphasized that Netanyahu should have discussed the issue with him in private, instead of "telling the world."
Ravid's political exposure ignited a fire on the web and led to angry reactions. Channel 13 news journalist Aviad Glikman chose to express himself in a harsh and unrestrained manner. On his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Glikman sharply jabbed at Netanyahu, writing: "There is no doubt that this is a prime minister from a different league. League Z."
