Man's best friend led to the uncovering of a weapons cache and the arrest of a suspect connected to the case. Taking part in the proactive and focused operation were fighters from YASAM Galilee and the Northern National Guard of the Border Police (Magav), with the goal of locating illegal weapons.

During the operation, together with a police dog handler and his dog Loki, the forces conducted a search in the village of Kamana and managed to locate a weapons cache hidden among bushes, containing a Carlo rifle, a Glock pistol, and magazines.

In the operation, a 30-year-old local resident was arrested, and his detention was extended at the Magistrate's Court in Akko. He may be brought for a further extension of his detention.

Since the beginning of the year, Northern District police officers and Magav fighters have seized over 610 lethal weapons and arrested gunmen in the act in the fight against violent crime. The police stated:

"We will continue to act with determination to deal with incidents of violence and locate illegal weapons for the sake of maintaining public safety and bringing criminals to justice."
