Good news for strengthening professional and economic security in the public service. A new, groundbreaking collective agreement has been signed between the Histadrut HaMaof, the Amidar employees' committee, and the company's management. The agreement, which was crafted after lengthy negotiations, will apply to approximately 400 employees in the company and brings with it a long series of significant achievements, which constitute a correction of injustice and deep recognition of the employees' daily work.

The heart of the agreement lies in a broad economic message, primarily a significant retroactive compensation for the years 2019 to 2025, intended to cover salary components and benefits that were not fully paid in the past. Alongside this compensation, full-time employees will enjoy a one-time signing bonus of 1,000 shekels, a permanent shekel addition of 125 shekels per month, and tiered percentage salary increases.

The agreement also includes a significant upgrade in per diem and subsistence components, an increase in social and pension contributions including on components that were previously excluded, alongside full regulation of the shortened work week, improvement of the conditions of field workers, and bonus mechanisms based on meeting targets in the coming years.

Amidar plays a social and public role of the highest order, as the entity responsible for operating public housing and providing services to the weakest populations in Israeli society. Field and headquarters employees work daily with dedication and professionalism to ensure a roof over their heads and a proper level of service for tens of thousands of families across the country. The new agreement expresses recognition of the importance of their work and ensures that the fruits of the company's success will also be reflected in their employment conditions and personal well-being.

Behind this impressive achievement stands the hard work of many partners along the way. Special thanks go to the committee chairman Hai Navon, committee member Galit Nahum, and the members of the national secretariat, alongside former committee heads, Malki Meshulam and Eti Mises, who accompanied the path until their retirement.

The professional staff work of Adv. Asaf Adar, head of the National Institutions and Government Companies Division at the Histadrut HaMaof, together with the economic and legal team, Omri Zinger, Adv. Yael Shiloni, and actuary Avi Ayash, is what led the complex negotiations to a safe harbor. At the Histadrut HaMaof, they emphasize that the commitment to Amidar employees will continue in the future, out of a brave partnership and continuous protection of their rights.
